Baha Mar is a newer resort complex located on Nassau in the Bahamas that includes Rosewood, Grand Hyatt, and SLS. Each resort caters to a different clientele with Rosewood being the most luxurious, Grand Hyatt best for families, and SLS for the more after-hours crowd. Baha Mar competes well with Atlantis and is McAlpin Travel’s preferred large resort on Nassau. With several pools, beachfront, water park, casino, multiple bars and restaurants, guests will never have to leave once they arrive.
Amazing food at all the Baha Mar restaurants
I recently stayed at Rosewood and can’t wait to visit again as my experience included the luxury and service that go along with a 5* plus resort. From a seamless arrival, to amenities left in my room on a daily basis, to staff always eager to assist, I felt truly taken care of as a guest.

My room was a resort view king located right off the lobby. Since I was so low (3rd floor) I didn’t have a view of the ocean but the lush greenery of the grounds made for a very nice resort view. The room’s decor was coastal-inspired with deep blues and whites, wood flooring, crown-moulding, shiplap, and plenty of marble in the bathroom.

Since Rosewood is the true luxury option at Baha Mar, their guests have exclusive use of their own pool and beach. Rosewood guests can use the other pools (except for one of the pools at SLS) but other guests can’t use Rosewood’s pool and beach. The only downside to the pools and beaches at Baha Mar is the operational hours. I prefer to stay at the pool or beach until sunset but both close to guests at either 5 or 6pm depending on the season. Guests can hang out at the beach after those hours but are encouraged to not enter the water due to no lifeguards on duty. One of the big draws to Baha Mar is Baha Bay Waterpark which is 15 oceanfront acres of slides, pools, lazy rivers, kid zones, and adult spaces to accommodate all ages. All guests staying at Baha Mar have included access to Baha Bay.
