If you’re looking for a luxury resort in the middle of all that Orlando has to offer then look no further than the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes.  The resort sits on 500 acres and is 5 minutes from Sea World, 10 minutes from Universal Studios, and 15-20 minutes from the Walt Disney World resorts. Located next door is the JW Marriott, Grand Lakes with several restaurants, pool with lazy river, and many other activities.  As a guest of the Ritz-Carlton, you also have access to […] Continue reading →

I love this resort and recommend it to clients whenever I can!  Its located on Key Biscayne via a bridge from Miami and although it’s close to everything it seems like a world away. With 490 rooms this resort is large which means it has tons to offer guests but doesn’t feel like a mega-resort. Here are the dining and lounge options: Lobby Lounge Thursday – Saturday have live band Rumbar  Located inside the resort on the main level, it’s a Cuban rum bar and lounge […] Continue reading →

If you’re looking for a unique luxury property located on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, then look no further than the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale. It was originally built in 2007 as St. Regis to mimic the design of a cruise ship since it’s located only 2 miles from the port of Ft. Lauderdale.  Because of it’s close proximity, the resort offers pre and post cruise packages for those who want to start their vacation early or extend it. The resort is located on the beach and […] Continue reading →

In my opinion the only way to experience Disney World is to stay on property.  As a travel advisor I get many requests from clients who are used to staying in luxury properties heading to Disney World where they expect the same type of accommodations.  My favorite two properties at Disney that will accommodate this request are the Grand Floridian Resort and the Contemporary where you have the option of a resort room or an accommodation in the villas with either a studio, 1, 2, or 3 […] Continue reading →

2013 was a great year for me with trips to Turks and Caicos, Disney World, Atlanta, New York City, Las Vegas, Savannah and Hilton Head Island.  2014 should be even better!  Here are a few of the destinations I plan to explore and share with my clients this year. Sarasota, Florida My husband’s company has their Christmas party in January since the month of December is so full of other commitments and since their headquarters are located in Tampa, FL we’re heading to Florida soon.  […] Continue reading →

I am so blessed to live in the south and call it “home”.  With so many different vacation spots it is hard not to find a weekend getaway.  Let’s take the state of Georgia and see what it has to offer. First off is the city of Atlanta, Georgia where you can take in a Braves or Falcons game, visit Six Flags, enjoy spectacular shopping at Phipps Plaza, a trip to the Georgia Aquarium, or maybe a visit to the High Museum of Art.  There are plenty of things to do in a weekend whether […] Continue reading →

New York City

New York City has always been a favorite city of mine.  I used to travel here on business when I worked with Saks Incorporated and regretted not moving there after college like so many do.  So when my sister was to be in NYC on business I jumped at the chance to visit.  I ended up going with my mom and 12 year-old niece to visit my sister the week of July 4th. We arrived in the city and immediately checked in at our hotel, Waldorf Astoria Towers, which is a very historic and iconic […] Continue reading →

This past fall I was honored to sail on Celebrity Cruises’ ship the Summit in the Southern Caribbean with several other advisors.  We departed out of San Juan, Puerto Rico for 7 days of fun in the sun!  Prior to departure I stayed one night at the Ritz-Carlton San Juan located close to the airport.  I decided to arrive in San Juan a day earlier in case of flight delays so I wouldn’t miss the ship.  This is a good idea for any cruise because you never know what might happen with your […] Continue reading →

If you’ve always dreamed of seeing the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City like I have then I’ve got the hotel for you.  The Ritz-Carlton Central Park hotel is directly on the parade route this year as it’s situated on the corner of 6th avenue right across the street from Central Park.  With its 22 stories of 259 rooms and suites you are assured a great view of the parade.  Rooms are currently available with a 3 night minimum stay in either a city view […] Continue reading →

I was recently in the Tampa/St. Pete area and decided to travel the 1 ½ hours south to Sarasota to check out the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota and I’m glad I did.  The town of Sarasota is really quaint with a large round-about containing many shops and restaurants. Within walking distance is the Ritz-Carlton which is decorated in the “classic” Ritz style with large ornate chandeliers in the foyer and hallways but is currently receiving a modern update.  The main hotel restaurant is […] Continue reading →
