1. Snacks Food is really expensive at Disney do anytime you can save money is good. I usually bring packets of Doritos, fruit snacks, etc for my kids and in an effort to be more healthy I’m going to bring Triscuits, string cheese, and these new cheese/nut snack packs.   2. Juice boxes and waters Any time you are at Disney you need to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!  I always bring reusable water bottles but my kids love a juice box with meals and I love a bottled water. I’ll […] Continue reading →

So, the kids are out of school, you’re heading to Disney World, and now you need to know what to bring.  Here is a guide to my favorite essentials to help survive a summer (or anytime it’s HOT) trip to Disney World.  All these items can be found at any sports store (I found all of them at Academy Sports) and will be cheaper than buying them when you get to Disney. Sunscreen The sun is bright and powerful and you don’t want to ruin your trip with a sunburn.  I love the […] Continue reading →

Boys with Dug

So you’ve booked your first trip to Disney with your kids and you know they are going to be so excited!  But wait, will they really?  We’ve all seen the online videos of the kids being surprised with a trip to Disney World only to be disappointed.  Odds are the younger your children the less they will really understand what a trip to Disney World really means.  I had these same thoughts when I was planning our first trip with the kids when they were going to be 2 and 4.  My biggest […] Continue reading →

When you think of going to Disney World, usually food isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but it should be!  The quality of the food and snacks offered has greatly improved over the years and the following list is a compilation of my favorite snacks that you can find any time of the year. 1.  Dole Whip The perfect combination of sweet pineapple and soft serve, this item is found at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom and at the Polynesian Resort.  You can get it plain which is my […] Continue reading →

This past August I spent 5 days in the halls of the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegaas, NV with 4000 other travel professionals learning about the latest and greatest travel trends and destinations for the upcoming year.  Sound like fun?  You bet! This was my 3rd visit to Virtuoso’s Travel Week and it’s an event I look forward to every year.  I’ve made many friends since joining the travel business so it’s like “old home week” seeing so many familiar faces. With only 155 rooms and a staff of over […] Continue reading →
